THE COTTAGE

The cottage sits on the pretty village green overlooking the church.  Drink your morning coffee outside and watch the world go by with the gentle gurgle of the stream in the background.

Inside, sleep in between the finest linen sheets on a sumptuous kingsize bed.  Pamper yourself in double ended bath, listen to your own music on the Bose bluetooth sound system or a selection of our music on the vinyl record player.

During the day, take yourself up the hill and explore the magic that is the Dartmoor National Park.  You'll never run out of breath-taking moments, purple heathers dipping into wild wooded gorges while sheep and wild ponies welcome you as you walk.

Then treat yourself to a cosy drink in the pub or a sundowner from our well stocked honesty bar, before relaxing in front of the wood burning stove as the starry skies blanket the moor.

LUSTLEIGH

Today, the ancient village of Lustleigh is regarded as the prettiest village on Dartmoor.  With its thriving pub and locally famous tea rooms it's a very popular starting point from which to explore Dartmoor.

It has a rich history, formally dating back to 901 where it was mentioned in the will of Alfred The Great.  But before then the Bronze Age hut circles on Lustleigh Cleave provide evidence of a community back to 2500 BC.

Beyond the village, foodies will find a fine array of places to eat, particularly Gidleigh Park, holder of two Michelin stars. Art lovers will find a vibrant scene with the Open Studios in September and the Dartmoor Artisan Trail all year long.  The very beautiful Contemporary Craft Festival in June is a fine display of the country's best makers.

And if the beach is your thing, Devon's coastline is as stunning as any in the world with the famous South West Coastal Path 30 minutes drive away.
